Chat Canvas is currently in beta. The service is provided as-is and may contain bugs, experience downtime, or change significantly without prior notice. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time. By using Chat Canvas you acknowledge and accept these limitations.

By accessing or using Chat Canvas (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and guests.

Chat Canvas routes your messages to third-party large language model (LLM) providers, which may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, and ElevenLabs, depending on the model you select. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your messages and conversation content are transmitted to these providers.
• Each provider processes your data under their own privacy policy and terms of service. We encourage you to review the relevant provider's policies before use.
• When using your own API keys (BYOK mode), your keys are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted to Chat Canvas servers.
• When using the hosted mode, your messages are processed through our server-side proxy before being forwarded to the LLM provider.

You are solely responsible for any content you submit, generate, or share through the Service, including prompts, messages, and conversation data. You represent and warrant that your use of the Service:

• Does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Does not infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties.
• Does not involve generating, storing, or distributing harmful, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Complies with the acceptable use policies of the underlying LLM providers used for each request.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms.

Subject to compliance with the terms of the underlying LLM provider that generated the output, you may use AI-generated content produced through the Service for personal and commercial purposes. We do not claim any ownership over output generated on your behalf.

It is your responsibility to verify that the relevant LLM provider's terms permit commercial use of their outputs. Policies vary by provider and model.

The Chat Canvas application, its design, logos, and underlying code are the intellectual property of the Chat Canvas team. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written consent.

Paid plans and credit top-ups are processed by Stripe. All charges are non-refundable except where required by law. Credits are consumed as you use the hosted LLM features and do not expire while your account is active. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice.

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the Service, including your email address (if you register), session data, and usage telemetry. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your API keys (BYOK mode) are stored solely in your browser and are never sent to our servers.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated outputs will be accurate or appropriate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chat Canvas and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
